Multi-model compatibility
Which AI model should you use for a custom character?
Muse Privée does not lock your character inside another chat app: you receive a portable text prompt. The right platform therefore depends on where it lets you place instructions, the continuity you need and the rules each provider applies.

There is no permanent universal winner. Start with the experience you want, then check where the service lets you keep character instructions and how much control you need.
| Model | Best fit | Where to install | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grok | More direct roleplay | A dedicated conversation with the Grok variant | Behaviour and rules can change |
| ChatGPT | Natural everyday conversation | Project instructions or a dedicated chat | Instruction space depends on the plan |
| Claude | Longer narrative exchanges | Project instructions | Provider safeguards remain active |
| Gemini | A reusable custom character | Gem instructions or a dedicated chat | Gem availability depends on the account |
| Local LLM | Maximum control and local storage | System Prompt field | You manage the model, interface and hardware |
The quick answer
- Grok: our current recommendation for more direct roleplay, subject to its rules and future changes.
- ChatGPT: convenient for natural conversation, custom instructions and Projects.
- Claude: well suited to longer narrative exchanges and persistent Project instructions.
- Gemini: useful for a reusable character built as a custom Gem.
- Local LLM: maximum control through a System Prompt, with setup and hardware left to you.
Using the prompt with ChatGPT
The universal option is to paste the ChatGPT version at the beginning of a new conversation. Custom instructions can influence future chats and their available length depends on your plan. A dedicated Project is cleaner when you do not want a character profile to affect unrelated conversations.
ChatGPT’s policies and safeguards remain in control. Muse Privée structures a personality; it cannot promise that any particular subject or intimacy level will be accepted.
Using the prompt with Claude
Claude Projects can hold project-specific instructions. This is a practical home for a persistent character profile and avoids pasting the full framework into every chat within that Project.
Muse Privée’s Claude variant uses explicit delimiters to separate identity, voice, continuity and boundaries. Availability and limits still depend on the account and can change.
Using the prompt with Gemini
Gems are customised versions of Gemini built from reusable instructions. Paste the Gemini variant into a Gem’s instructions, test a few conversations and refine only the parts that drift.
Opening a dedicated chat with the profile also works when you do not want to create a Gem.
Using the prompt with Grok
The Grok version asks the model to enter the character’s voice immediately and includes an out-of-character command for adjusting the profile without ending the scene. Based on our current tests, Grok is our recommendation for the most direct experience.
That recommendation is not a permanent guarantee. Grok’s behaviour, filtering and features may change, and its platform rules always take priority.
Using a local model
Local chat interfaces generally expose a System Prompt field. This gives you the most control over the model, generation settings and where conversations are stored.
Results depend heavily on the chosen model, its context window, the interface and the available hardware. Muse Privée supplies the character prompt, not the local model or infrastructure.
Why the five variants are not simple name swaps
Identity and boundaries stay consistent, but opening directives, delimiters and installation notes change. Essential includes the selected model. Immersion includes dedicated variants for Grok, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and a local LLM.
Frequently asked questions
Which model is best for adult roleplay?
We currently recommend Grok for a more direct experience. No provider guarantees that a specific request will be accepted, and its rules can change.
Does Muse Privée bypass model restrictions?
No. The variants organise personality, voice and continuity without jailbreak instructions. Each platform’s rules remain authoritative.
Do I need another subscription?
Muse Privée is a one-time purchase. Access to your chosen model may require its own account, subscription, API credit or hardware.
